Derian Day is back and supporters, staff and volunteers from Derian House Children’s Hospice are getting ready to go green on Friday 7 October.
This year, the hospice is gearing up for 2023 when the charity will celebrate its 30th birthday.
Tomorrow will see Derian House supporters don their green t-shirts and Danni socks and take on challenges to mark the day.
Derian House charity shops will also get in on the action by creating eye-catching green window displays and selling a range of Derian Day merchandise.
Sarah Proctor, Community Fundraiser at Derian House, said: “Why not turn non-uniform day green, hold an office party, take on a personal exercise challenge, hold a coffee morning for your friends and family, or encourage your running club to run in green? Anything goes!
“In 2022 it will cost £5.7 million to run services at Derian House. With just 17% of this coming from government funding. We need your support. By getting involved, you’re helping us to continue to care for the children and young people who need us most.”
