Farrell Heyworth are marking 30 years in business this year by supporting local charities.
As part of their 30 year celebrations, local independent Estate Agents Farrell Heyworth are delighted to have the opportunity to give back to the communities they serve and support local charities like Derian House.
Jeremy Collins, Farrell Heyworth Director said: “We have long admired the work done by Derian House and are delighted to have been able to support their work this year. Our colleagues Jamie Rogers, from our auction department (Auction House North West) and David Heap, branch manager at our Chorley branch were delighted to visit the hospice and formally hand over our donation.
“We know that the last 12 months have been extremely tricky for charities so we are so pleased that our donation will go to helping Derian House to continue to support families in our local communities. As restrictions ease we look forward to the opportunity to get involved in more fundraising events in the future.”
Derian House Children’s Hospice provides respite and end-of-life care to more than 400 children and young people from across the North West.
The care provided at Derian House is free for families, but services cost £5million to run every year. With only 12 per cent of funding coming from the government, the charity relies heavily on the generosity of its supporters and corporate partners.
Sara Eltman, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Derian House said: “We are extremely thankful to Farrell Heyworth for their generous donation which will help us to continue caring for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses from across the North West.
“Our donations have significantly declined due to the coronavirus pandemic, with the forced cancellation of events and temporary closure of our charity shops. The support from Farrell Heyworth is even more appreciated in these challenging times and we are looking forward to working more with the team in the future.”
