Fasten your seatbelts for the fifth Supercar Showtime, the prestigious event showcasing an array of supercars to raise much-needed funds for Chorley based children’s hospice, Derian House.
This year, the supercar spectacle promises over 150 supercars including the classics of yesteryear through to modern day hyper cars, with rare and unique models from Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and many more.
All profits from the event go to Derian House, the Chorley charity that cares for over 400 babies, children and young people across the North West.
With headline sponsor is Porsche Centre Bolton and further event sponsors include Lloyd Blackpool BMW, Vertu Motors, Hepplestone Fine Art, Lytham St. Annes Skip Hire, FRADIMÉ, Beechfield Brands, Chemical Guys, Coversure, Cradel Haus, Churchtown Canopies and Carports, Central Garage Doors NW, MBW Europe, D&G Builders & Joiners, The Detailing Shack, Lee Mayor Restorations, The Supercar Society UK, Go Virtual UK, Remyroc Detailing, Becketts Wealth Management, Shepherds Boat Sales, Lakeland Verandahs, Whitecroft Garage and Front Row Financial, the event promises to bring the local community together to enjoy a day to remember.
The family-friendly event will take place on Sunday 11th June between 10am until 3pm at the spectacular 16th-century Elizabethan fortified manor house, Hoghton Tower. Attractions on the day include live music, simulated racing and guided house tours, plus a food village and tea room. Café Le Mans, our hospitality area, will also host a catwalk fashion show from Chorley based boutique Chic Happens, a resident DJ, a pop-up art gallery and a much-anticipated charity auction with motoring experiences and merchandise, holiday breaks and yacht charters up for grabs.
Supercar Showtime – which over the previous four events has raised over £130,000 – is expected to be a sell-out once again and we would encourage members of the public to purchase tickets well in advance given our limited event capacity.
The event is organised by husband and wife team Nick and Karen Isherwood, who live in Chorley with their two children. Nick and Karen are both unpaid volunteers and manage the commitment around their day jobs.
Nick Isherwood said: “Supercar Showtime was first held in a pub car park in 2017. I had enjoyed the occasional supercar meeting with friends, but knew collectively we could do more to showcase amazing cars that often stay hidden away from the public eye, whilst at the same time creating an opportunity for owners to raise money for charity. We were amazed by the turnout to our first event and the funds raised. It was so well received we decided to move to a bigger venue and from there it has gone from strength to strength.
“In choosing a suitable charity we wanted to one playing a pivotal role in our local community and knowing about the incredible environment that Derian House creates for children and young adults with rare and complex needs, they seemed a perfect fit. You just never know what’s going to happen to you in life, and Derian House are there for families in their hour of need.”
Karen Isherwood added: “We’re so fortunate to be supported by local and national businesses to help make this event possible and would like to thank Hoghton Tower for helping us to host our events, along with all of our volunteers, without whom the event would not be possible. It’s a great family day out, and an opportunity to make a positive difference to local families who need support from Derian House.”
Mick Croskery, Fundraising Manager at Derian House, said: “We are so excited that Supercar Showtime is returning to Hoghton Tower in 2023. There is a huge team behind the scenes delivering this event to support our children and families – including Derian House Community Ambassadors Nick and Karen Isherwood. Through their amazing efforts over the previous four events, they have raised over £130,000 for our cause and I’m sure I can speak on behalf of all of our children and families when I pass on their gratitude. We are really looking forward to working alongside the Supercar Showtime team this year to deliver yet another amazing event for the community as well as raising much needed funds for the Hospice.”
